Since January, the president has:
- Relaxed restrictions on embryonic stem cell research.
- Ordered the closing of the U.S. prison at Guantanamo Bay, Cuba.
- Ordered most U.S. troops out of Iraq and more U.S. troops into Afghanistan.
- Pushed through his economic stimulus plan, a mortgage relief plan, a second Wall Street bailout and his plan to redeem so-called toxic assets.
- Approved massive lending to struggling Detroit automakers.
Up next, his administration has said, are climate change, education reform and universal health care.

Menos tropas en Iraq, y más en Afganistán?. ¿Entendí bien?
En iraq nunca hubo un problema. Creo que es obvio que Bush hijo se metió ahí por una locuacidad obsena y que su intensión era matar a Hussein sólo por "pleitos de familia".
Bueno sería que sacara a las tropas de afganistán. Estan ahí sólo para tratar de controlar un territorio importante para que Rusia no pueda rearmar a su grupo y crear un bloque de poder. Es decir, China, Rusia, Irán.
En fin, Obama no me parece tan bueno, en el sentido romántico. Pero sí un buen político que ha sabido convertir sus ideas y conveniencias en resultados tangibles.
Sí, quizá no es el Mesías, pero a comparación con Bush... hay un abismo de diferencia, y el contraste se siente demasiado.
Detestando la guerra como la detesto, concuerdo con que tampoco debería de haber tropas en Afganistán.
